5 top tips... for perfect wedding stationery

1. Get in quick - People’s diaries fill up quickly, so make sure you send your invites out about 12 weeks in advance.

2. Save the date - If you’re planning your wedding for a popular date, think about sending out ‘save the date’ cards before your invitations.

3. Invite delight - Make sure your invitations are clear and legible and include all the important elements… your names, the hosts, the venue, time, date and any RSVP details.

4. Simply does it - Less is usually more! An eye-catching centrepiece with one or two menus per table, favours, and co-ordinating place cards and napkins will do.

5. Last but not least - Make sure you place your order today with me at Taylor Made Designs!

Luggage-style placename tags

James and Rachel were married on September 1st 2010 on the beautiful island of Corfu in Greece.

Engagement Card

Taylor Made Designs also make other occasion cards such as 'Engagement' as shown. The invitation was a single cut card (as opposed to a tent-fold) to cut down on cost. 

Pricelist

Prices are very competitive and there is no minimum order. Pricelist shows quantities for 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 day and evening invitations, order of service, thank you cards, place name cards, menu cards and seating arrangements. Best quality white envelopes and paper inserts are included in price of all Invitations and thank you cards. If there is an item you require that is not on the list please do not hesitate to contact us.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of order which is non-refundable.

Gavin & Kirsti Lemon, Llanelli

 

Gavin and Kirsti Lemon were married on October 4th 2009 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Llanelli and afterwards the reception was held at The Gower Golf Club, Three Crosses, Swansea.

Green Orchids - (Design-your-own)

This simplistic illustration of a phalaenopsis orchid was the idea of bride Michelle Perrott of Ystradgynlais, whose wedding at The King Arthur Hotel, Gower took place in July. The cascading orchid theme was used throughout Michelle's stationery including invitations, place name cards, table name cards, children's gift bags and a seating arrangement plan.

Design-your-own (Snowdonia)

The bride and grooms love of the great outdoors, particularly Snowdonia, inspired the design of this invitation. The same design was used for the Order of Service cards.

A stylish design using silver padded hearts on stardream sparkly high quality card. Available in most colour-ways and different sizes.

Lindsay & Ryan Sweetman, mid Wales

Lindsay & Ryan married in 2006 in the beautiful setting of Mid Wales.

My sister and best friend Sharon got married on August 6th 2007 to the very lovely Rhys Jones of Gower.
I had the pleasure of designing and making all of their stationery which was based on a hydrangea flower which co-ordinated with the flowers on the day.

Hydrangea (Design-your-own)

Hydrangea was created by my sister for her wedding in August last year. She chose a black and white image of her bouquet and added some diamantes for a little bit of sparkle and glamour! Any flowers could be used for this design and Taylor Made Designs can usually supply the image.

Hayley & Paul McDade, Leicester

Hayley & Paul McDade had a magical winter wedding with a snowflake as their inspiration.

"When it came to my wedding stationery I had an idea in my head but lacked the artistic skill, time and patience to make the idea a reality. Snowflake Sparkle

Snowflake Sparkle was designed for a festive Christmas wedding. A silver square card was the base for a large silver snowflake with a tiny diamante laid over handmade cobweb paper.

Iwan & Sarah Roberts, Carmarthen

Iwan and Sarah were married at Christ Church, Carmarthen in August 2005, followed by a reception at Broadway Country House Hotel in Laugharne. The bride created her own design inspired by her wedding colour. She chose co-ordinating day and evening invitations, order of service, place name cards, table name cards, seating arrangements and menu cards.

Seating Arrangements

Seating Arrangements can be made up in any size (although normally A2 or A3) and can follow your wedding theme. One of the most difficult jobs when planning your wedding is to finalise where your guests are sitting and who is attending, so this plan can be made last minute if necessary.

Other Information

A 50% deposit is required at the time of placing your order which is non-refundable.

Order of service, thank you cards, place name cards, menu cards, save the date cards and seating arrangements are also available to match your chosen wedding stationery. There is no minimum order. Prices shown include inserts and best quality white envelopes if applicable. If you require envelopes other than white, please ask as other colours are available. Each design may differ slightly due to the unique handcrafted method.

Many different typefaces are available for your stationery inserts. If there is a specific typeface you require, please ask as it may be available.

Delivery charges will vary depending on size of order. Local orders are normally collected from the studio address in Swansea. Each order normally takes between 6-8 weeks to complete but will vary depending on the design.

Grant & Anne Jones, Mid Wales

Grant and Anne were married on August 12th 2000 at St. Gwyddelan's Church and afterwards in a marquee in the beautiful grounds of Gregynog Hall in Tregynon, Mid Wales.

They selected a 'Design-your-own' design and opted for invitations, placecards and order of service.

"Ruth is a close friend and has always sent me fantastic and impressive handmade birthday and Christmas cards, so I decided that I wanted to ask her to design my wedding stationery as I wanted something unique and elegant. I went to her with an example of a design I spotted in a magazine and she then implemented that design into a unique one for my special day, using different colours, textures and layers. Ruth has a professional eye for design and put together a beautiful design, one that caught the eye of quite a lot of my wedding guests who were exceptionally complementary about her work. I always recommend Ruth to anyone who is thinking of having handmade stationery".

Anne Jones

The Beach

The Beach design originated from the idea by a Welsh couple, living in and getting married on a beach in Sydney, Australia.

Their design consisted of an abstract seascape painted with watercolours, and laid on a textured card.

A maximum of two samples of your choice can be sent to you free of charge if an order is placed. If you do not place an order please return unwanted samples.

Adam & Hannah-Lee, London

Adam and Hannah-Lee were married on October 8th, 2004 at The Warpool Court Hotel, St. David's in Wales. They designed their own invitations using black, bright pink & silver as their colour scheme, wanting a 1950s theme. A chunky wooden heart was used to create a 3-dimensional effect.

"Taylor made designs offers a very friendly, enthusiastic and personal service. I chose Ruth to make my invitations, placecards and menucards because she was open to my ideas too - she didn't force her ideas on me. Between us we developed a unique design that was perfect and completely different from anything you can buy in the shops. About Me

Taylor Made Designs is owned by myself Ruth, a Fashion Design degree graduate, originally from Trebanos near Swansea, although born in Western Australia. I have always had a passion to create ‘beautiful things’ by making handmade cards for friends and family from a young age and have continued to do so by finally setting up my own business. Naming the company was easy as my maiden name ‘Taylor’ was the perfect way to keep my signature going.

Wrapped Heart

A classic design. Wrapped Heart consists of a single heart (in colour of your choice) wrapped with metallic thread and placed on matching torn-edged paper. This design suits the tall, narrow card format although does also look very good on a square-shaped card.
